-The main positive and goal of the G20 is to help different nations economically.
-The G20 boosts economic job opportunities for people
-The G20 promotes international trade which in return helps the economies.
-In 2008 the G20 came together to help solve the financial crisis which in return helped avoid global depression. They also created the FSB (Financial Stability Board) to help build a safer and more regulated financial system.
-The G20 is thinking about building a “Sustainable ocean economy” which in the long term will help the economy's financial stability and provide more jobs for its citizens which will contribute to the economic growth.
Negatives of the G20
-With the G20 only the rich and prosperous economies can take part in this assembly and all the other not so wealthy economies have to buckle up and sit in the back seat to survive.
-Globalization is an important factor affecting countries that are apart of the G20. Countries or places that are poor tend to have a negative effect from the G20. Economies that are not so wealthy are being left out from discussions. Because the world is so interconnected G20 countries have a huge impact on all other countries. G20 countries are like the trend setters. Globalization is greatly affected by what the G20 countries have to say. One example of this is the Brexit vote. The British decided to leave the EU and because they are such a powerful country it had many effects on themselves and on smaller countries economies and societies. More poor countries and cities are losing their independence because the only way to keep their small economy running is to hop on the back of wealthy countries.
